Shay Given's FA Cup Final Predictions

FA Cup Final day is always one of the biggest occasions in the English football season. I've got fond memories of it from my career and this weekend's game looks set to be a cracker.

Crystal Palace were unbelievable against Aston Villa in the Semi Final and even though they'll go into this match as the underdogs they have definitely shown what they can do on the big stage. The likes of Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eberechi Eze are capable of moments of brilliance and they'll relish the opportunity to star in a cup final.

For Manchester City it's yet another final and a chance to rescue something from their season. Pep Guardiola said after their semi final victory against Nottingham Forest that it's obviously been a disappointing season for his team but they could still end it with some silverware and I think my old club will do that on Saturday.

City have big game players all over the pitch and with Erling Haaland back and fit he'll be a big danger to that Crystal Palace backline. Also it's Kevin De Bruyne's last game for the club and it wouldn't be a surprise if he went out with a bang and got himself on the scoresheet. I can see there being a few goals in this one and hopefully it'll be another final to remember in this famous old competition.
