13/2 treble on Australian Open: Semi-Final

The Australian Open has reached the Semi-final stage in both the Men’s and Women’s Singles and we’re getting ever closer to finding out who the first Grand Slam winners of the year will be.

Ahead of these eye-catching encounters, we’ve picked out a 13/2 treble that we think could be worth a look!

Stefanos Tsitsipas VS Karen Khachanov

Back Tsitsipas to win

The top half of the Men’s Singles draw opened right up when defending champion Rafael Nadal was beaten in the Second Round by American Mackenzie Mcdonald. 18th seed Karen Khachanov was one to benefit from the Spaniard’s unexpected departure and now he finds himself in his second career Grand Slam Semi-final.

His opponent is third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas who has now reached this stage on four occasions but has never gone one step further.

Both players sailed through their Quarter Final clashes in straight sets but it’s the man from Greece who has dominated their previous meetings. Tsitsipas leads the head to head 5-0 and he has the quality to extend that unbeaten record here.

Elena Rybakina VS Victoria Azarenka

Back Rybakina to win in three sets

Two time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka has produced some sparkling tennis to reach the final four of this year’s Australian Open. The 24th seed wasn’t expected to challenge in the latter stages of the tournament but her emphatic victory against third seed Jessica Pegula in the Quarter Finals reminded everyone of the talent she possesses.

Her opponent in the Semi-finals is 2022 Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina. The Kazakhstani has dropped just one set thus far and knocked out the big favourite and number one seed, Iga Swiatek in the 4th Round.

This has the makings of a really good match up but it’s Rybakina, 10 years younger than her Belarusian opponent, who can prevail in three sets.

Aryna Sabalenka VS Magda Linette

These two women are both bidding to reach their first Grand Slam final.

Sabalenka has made it to the final four at each of the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open tournaments but has never tasted victory. She’ll be hoping this is the year she can finally get over the line and having not dropped a set thus far in Melbourne, she is the strong favourite to win this match.

30-year-old Magda Linette is playing in her first Semi-final and the unseeded Polish player will feel she has nothing to lose in this one. That could make for an entertaining contest and at the very least two fiercely contested sets, so we’re backing over 19.5 games at 4/6.
