6/1 fourfold on Newcastle, Manchester United and other attractive selections

The EFL Cup reaches the Quarter Final stage this week and for the eight remaining teams, Wembley is firmly in their sights.

We’ve picked out our four top bets for a tasty 6/1 acca. See if you think the following selections could be a winner!

Newcastle VS Leicester City

6/4
Back Newcastle to win to nil

Newcastle crashed out of the FA Cup to League One Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, making this EFL Cup Quarter Final clash against Leicester all the more important for the Magpies.

That defeat on Saturday was only Newcastle’s second of the season and Eddie Howe will be keen to return to winning ways in front of a home crowd at St James Park.

Newcastle ran out convincing 3-0 winners against Leicester when the two sides met on Boxing Day and while this may be closer contest, we fancy the Toon Army to prevail again.

Newcastle have kept six clean sheets in their last seven games, while Leicester have lost three of their last four matches. Back the Magpies to win to nil on Tuesday night @ 6/4.

Manchester United VS Charlton

Tue 10 Jan, 20:00

2/13
Back Manchester United to win with a -1 handicap

Manchester United are on their best run of the season, winning seven in a row and 10 of their last 11 in all competitions.

Erik ten Hag’s side have been scoring regularly and conceding very few and we’d expect more of the same at Old Trafford when they face League One opposition in Charlton Athletic.

The Addicks have done brilliantly to reach this stage of the competition but they have won just three of their last 12 matches and it would be a major shock if they gave the Red Devils any trouble in this one.

Nottingham Forest VS Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wed 11 Jan, 19:45

17/20
Back both teams to score

While both of these teams are still battling to avoid the drop from the Premier League, they have enjoyed better times of late with some very positive results.

Wolves have been much improved since new boss Julen Lopetegui took charge. Along with victory against Gillingham in the 4th Round of this competition, the Midlanders have won at Everton and draw away at Aston Villa and Liverpool in recent weeks.

Forest meanwhile have picked up form of late, only losing one of their last four in the Premier League.

This cup clash may well come as a welcome change for both sides from their domestic stresses and with that in mind, it could be an entertaining encounter. Back both teams to score at 17/20.

Southampton VS Manchester City

Wed 11 Jan, 20:00

1/3
Back Manchester City to win with a -1 handicap

Manchester City’s bid for the quadruple continued apace at the weekend as Pep Guardiola’s side comfortably dispatched of Chelsea in the FA Cup.

City have won this competition six times in the last seven years and after failing to do so last season, they will be extra motivated to get their hands back on the cup.

They face a Southampton side who are now rock bottom of the Premier League after six consecutive defeats in the competition. And with the likes of Haaland and De Bruyne rested at the weekend, we’d expect to see a Manchester City side at full steam on Wednesday and they should win with room to spare.
