Weekend Racing Tips at Navan and Wexford – Irish NH Tips
This son of Justify ran three times in maidens last season at Leopardstown, Newmarket and Doncaster where he ran with credit, albeit he ran disappointingly at Doncaster at the end of last season.
With a winter on his back now and plenty of experience in comparison to his rivals here, he should be able to put his best foot forward and prove himself to be worth every bit of his rating of 89. It will take a very smart performance on debut for anything to get him beat.
This horse is still a maiden after three starts but after a pair of solid runs, he made an excellent seasonal debut in handicap company at Leopardstown in an ultra-competitive race that has thrown up plenty of winners since.
He should have come on plenty from that run and now with race fitness under his belt, he should take a lot of beating in what is a disappointingly small turnout for a premier handicap.
This horse has been a long time between drinks having not won a race since taking a novice handicap hurdle at this course in March 2023. That said, he has run a lot of good races in between finishing second on three separate occasions.
He is still rated 7lbs higher than that winning mark, but he has been running in much better company than this and if he can put his best foot forward, he's overdue a change in luck and rates a solid each way option in an open race.
