Shay Given's Premier League Predictions

The 2024/25 Premier League season is now well into its stride and we've already been treated to some fantastic matches and blockbuster fixtures.

This weekend sees a host of big games and as always, CopyBet brand ambassador Shay Given is here with four of his best bets, which when combined in an accumulator would return at odds of 25/1 ACCA.

Shay's Prediction: Newcastle 2-2 Manchester City

The Shay Given derby! Should be a great game and at St James' park, it's always a difficult game for any opposition. But that said, Manchester City are the best in the business.

I do fancy Newcastle to get something from the game, especially with the news that Rodri will be missing through this injury that looks like it might put him out for the rest of the season. He'll be a big miss for Pep Guardiola's side.

Shay's Prediction: Wolves 1-3 Liverpool

Back a Liverpool to win

Wolves are having a tough time of it at the moment and having sold a couple of their better players in the summer I feel a bit sorry for Gary O'Neil. Confidence seems to be low around Molineux right now.

On the flipside, Liverpool come into this one having had a really good start - other than that defeat at home to Nottingham Forest the other week.

It's difficult to see past an away victory in this one.

Shay's Prediction: Man United 0-1 Tottenham

Back a Tottenham to win

This is a tough one to call because both sides have struggled for any consistency so far this season.

For some reason I fancy Tottenham to go there and get a really positive result though. United are finding wins hard to come by at Old Trafford and they were poor against FC Twente in the Europa League in midweek.

Spurs might well be looking at this as an opportunity to go there and get three points.

Shay's Prediction: Bournemouth 3-1 Southampton

Back Bournemouth to win

Monday night football and it's a south coast derby. Southampton are struggling a bit with this jump from the Championship up to the Premier League and they are still looking for a first win.

I can't look past Bournemouth in this one. Iraola has done a great job with the Cherries and at home they'll be too strong for the Saints.
