Saturday Racing Tips – Irish NH Tips
This horse made a more than satisfactory on debut in a Punchestown bumper where he finished a very good sixth, beaten by just over nine lengths. With natural progression and that experience under his belt now, he looks sure to hold leading claims in calmer waters here. Hopefully the Willie Mullins newcomer, who is a son of Annie Power, will make the market, and we can get a bigger price as a result of the hype surrounding that one. I'm expecting a big run.
This filly hails for the Johnny Murtagh yard and she made a satisfactory debut at Gowran Park last time in a strong race. She was slowly away that day but made some nice progress in the straight under an educational ride. She should take a big step forward for that experience and with a good draw here, she should be capable of running a very big race. She looks sure to be in the mix.
While this horse is a ten-race maiden, he has shown plenty promise in his career to date. He has strung four very solid handicap performances together on his last four starts over a variety of trips from two and a half miles to three miles and one. He is on a very workable mark and gets James Smith on for the first time to take off an extra 5lbs. He was a close third last time at Tipperary on the back of a 155-day break. With race fitness on his side now he should be ready to rattle a race like this. Hopefully he should go very close.
