Looking to spice up your Saturday? There’s no shortage of action, with cards from York, the Curragh and beyond. Whether you enjoy top-class flat contests, or betting value in the handicaps, we’ve got you covered. Here’s our NAP, Next Best, and a lively longshot all expected to go close.
Archivist looks a seriously progressive colt and was a confident selection last time out when justifying favouritism. That performance confirmed the hype, and he looks a Group horse in the making. He travelled like a class act, quickened smartly, and won with plenty up his sleeve. Everything about him suggests there’s more to come, and this looks like another stepping stone to bigger things.
Plenty were on Suzie Songs at 13/8 and she didn’t disappoint, winning nicely at the Curragh. The vibes around her had been strong pre-race and she delivered like a filly going places. She looks a cut above typical maiden level and is expected to continue climbing the ranks - definitely one to follow through the summer.
Wemightakedlongway landed a serious gamble at a juicy 17/2 two starts ago and looks to have plenty more to offer. This was a smart performance in a competitive field, and the manner in which she stayed on suggests there’s more to come over similar trips. She ran well for a long way in a very tough race last time, and represents a yard that does well with improving types. At these odds, she continues to offer each way value with upside.
