This horse is a really tough front runner who loves a bit of an ease in the ground. Though the weather is set fair at the moment, I think we have seen enough rain all week to have sufficiently taken the sting out if it at the very least. It's a small field where you can quickly discount a couple of these at the weights and the selection is particularly well weighted when you take this rider’s claim into account.

There’s every chance that he could dominate this small field and with the likely favourite Crypto Force having not won a race since his two-year-old year, I think he’s a horse that needs taking on. If Cristal Clere runs to his mark, then I can't see him being beat.

This horse ran from 6lbs out of the handicap here a couple of starts ago over a mile. He pulled well clear of his rivals that day with the eventual winner who is now rated 23lbs higher. He is 6lbs higher now but in theory, he runs off the same mark as that brilliant second and his rider can claim an extra 3lbs today.

He’s got a coveted low draw and if he can reproduce anything like his recent run here, he will be very difficult to beat.

This horse is a long time between drinks having last won in May 2022. That said, that win did come over course and distance off a mark of 58. His most recent run was a very solid effort in a Leopardstown handicap off a mark off 47 when beaten just over five lengths.

He’s been dropped another pound since then and gets Dylan O'Connor on board here claiming 7lbs which has to give him a massive chance. He’s also got a good draw in stall five with low stalls always being favoured in a major way around here. He has to have a big chance at a fair price.
