DINOBLUE

Dinoblue already has the beating of the Champion Chase winner, Captain Guinness, and the re-opposing Gentleman Du Mee this season. Once when winning a Grade One herself, the other when behind El Fabiolo in another Grade One.

I find it hard to see that being turned around, especially as Captain Guinness has a poor record at the back end of the season. So, getting weight, back in trip, the mare should take the beating once again.

MONTY'S STAR

His yard is in great form at present, operating at around 25%-win rate, and here’s hoping Monty can add to that. Third to the east National Hunt Chase winner, Corbetts Cross on chase debut, this classy individual jumped well to easily beat Three Card Brag of Gordon Elliott’s second time chasing.

He bumped into a star in Fact to File in the Brown Advisory, again jumping and travelling well, I don’t see a Fact to File calibre in this race, it’s his for the taking.

LONG SHOT:

FIREFOX

I think Firefox is being dismissed in the market, he has the beating of the super talented Ballyburn in his back pocket from the start of the season, and although he was behind a couple of these in a Supreme, he was just denied at Aintree. He was lame in the Lawlors Of Naas so excuses to be had, but returned with a strong running third behind Slade Steel and Mystical Power at Cheltenham.

If you watch back that Supreme run, he got the worst passage and was denied a run at a vital stage coming into the home straight. He has stamina so any rain won’t be an issue, with a different run, he may well be staying on best.
