QPR vs Charlton 12/5 Bet Builder – Mark O’Haire
QPR Head Coach Julien Stephan has promised a radical improvement from his R’s side after seeing Rangers suffer a shock 7-1 reverse at Coventry last weekend. The Frenchman apologised to supporters for last week’s horror show and said his team will be desperate to bounce back when welcoming Charlton to Loftus Road on Saturday.
Stephan said, “I promise the fans that next week we will see a completely different team. A derby at home, with all our fans, is the best game for us to react. We will see the reaction of the players and the character and personality. I just want to promise that next week it will be completely different, and you will see a completely different team.”
Match Result –
QPR Double Chance
Rangers produced a reasonably encouraging opening day display when welcoming Preston to Loftus Road and the R’s are bound to want to react to last week’s drubbing with a strong performance in front of home supporters. QPR went W6-D3-L2 hosting bottom-half opposition last term and don’t deserve to be outsiders in the betting here.
Match Goals – Under 3.5 Goals
Charlton cross the capital with a clear approach based around defensive stability and organisation. Nathan Jones’ group have given little away following promotion, though that rearguard focus has left them light up top – the Addicks’ first three Championship games have produced just two goals and so another low-scoring match looks likely.
Match Cards – Both Teams Over 0.5 Cards
A London derby with plenty of pressure on the home side should deliver cards front. Andrew Kitchen isn’t the most eye-catching refereeing appointment, though the arbiter has averaged a reasonable 3.40 cards from 31 league assignments since the start of last season. QPR and Charlton have seen both teams booked in 2/3 outings thus far.
Team Corners – QPR Over 3.5 Corners
QPR have forced corner hauls of 5-4-4 in their first three Championship games this season, continuing a theme that goes back to the beginning of 2024/25. Rangers averaged 5.52 home corners last term and hit 5+ in 61% of their W12 dates – Charlton head to Loftus Road having faced four in each of their past two outings.
