QPR boss Marti Cifuentes felt his side’s display in their 2-1 defeat to Swansea on Easter Monday was below-par with the R’s failing to muster a shot on-target until substitute Karamoko Dembele scored. The Spaniard took some consolation from his team’s late flurry, but it was otherwise a day to forget at Loftus Road.

Cifuentes said, “Until minute 65, I didn’t like what I saw - that was below what we expect. Credit to the guys showing resilience and a mentality to try to push and get something from the game. That push, even if I felt it was more about emotion than creating clear chances, we had the capacity to make them suffer a bit.”

Jonathan Varane suffered an apparent thigh strain during the warm-up so was replaced in the team by Morgan Fox. Meanwhile, Koki Saito, who suffered a dislocated shoulder last Friday has also been ruled out for the season.

Only Carrow Road and Home Park have seen both teams to score land more often than Loftus Road this season with 16 (73%) of Rangers’ 22 home Championship outings paying out for BTTS backers. That includes 10 of QPR’s 11 W12 dates with top-half teams and with Burnley following suit in four of their past five, a repeat appeals here.

Neither side has seen Championship matches often escalate into high-scoring shootouts. QPR have delivered fewer than five goals in 43 of their 44 second-tier showdowns this season, whilst only three Burnley matches have crossed the over 4.5 goals barrier – 70% of their overall encounters have seen under 2.5 goals land.

Burnley might still be chasing the Championship title but with both sides having already secured their pre-season targets, the match-up might not produce plenty of punishment. James Linington oversees the action, and the referee is averaging only 3.80 cards per-game, going under 4.5 cards in 10 of his past 13 second-tier outings.
