Team players

Head coach Gareth Ainsworth and first-team coach Paul Hall faced off against a strong pairing of Paul Furlong and assistant head coach Richard Dobson, in a challenge officiated by Andy Sinton, QPR Club Ambassador.

Game #1:
Target shooting

The first challenge was the football target shooting challenge, where the Queens Park Rangers coaching staff aimed to strike footballs through strategically placed holes, with 10 attempts per team. The varying heights of the targets increased the difficulty, adding to the excitement of the game.

Ainsworth’s team quickly took the lead with an incredible 75 points. The battle had just begun, and the stage was set for an enthralling contest of skill and precision.

Not to be outdone, Gareth Ainsworth matched Furlong’s brilliance, also earning an impressive 10 points. As if the game wasn't tense enough, Paul Furlong scored another 10 points, and Gareth Ainsworth once again matched him to tie the scores in this challenge.

Throughout the challenge, Gareth Ainsworth remained incredibly supportive, cheering on his teammates in front of the camera. Adding a touch of humour to the situation, Ainsworth even cracked a few jokes, making the experience all the more enjoyable for everyone involved.

The hardest of all three challenges for both teams, who battled hard to earn the points, was the bucket-chip shot.

Paul Hall scored 10 points, but the real thrill came when Gareth Ainsworth stole the show, hitting the highest score of 40 points and celebrating with a joyful dance. Not stopping there, Gareth continued to shine, adding another 20 points to his total, earning a warm embrace from Paul Furlong.

It’s always fun to dust off the boots every once in a while to see what I can still do, especially in a competition against the rest of the staff. Safe to say, some of the boys had more left in their lockers than others.

QPR manager
