Punchestown Saturday Tips – Dan James Racing
How this horse lost at Cheltenham I don’t know. They came past the market principles to be beat down the outside by a 100/1 shot. Make no mistake though, that was a fantastic run and after missing Aintree she can make amends here. She drops back a furlong to the 2m trip which looks the perfect move and James Bowen taking the ride is a fantastic to see. James has already got on the board at Punchestown, and this can be another winning ride.
I think 7/2 is a fantastic price. I would have this horse 2/1. A very good effort behind Lossiemouth although well beaten at Cheltenham over 2m4f. Lossiemouth has backed up the win since at Aintree and that Cheltenham second was a hot race. Before that Jade won five of her six starts and I have no idea how Brighterdaysahead is 4/9 after that run at Cheltenham. He had absolutely zero excuses and I am majorly against him here.
Hey Sunshine finished ninth at Fairyhouse two weeks ago but that was a strong race, and he ran better than the result suggested. He came with eye catching headway three out before fading, but how he came into the race that day catches the eye. Has won three times, with Paddy Townsend onboard for two of them and he takes the ride again after a young jockey rode him last time. Should be seen to much better effect in this listed race.
