Punchestown Friday Tips – Irish NH Tips
This horse is a big imposing son of Arctic Cosmos who is yet to deliver on the promise he has always shown but I'm hopeful that today can be a real step forward for him. Willie Mullins has won seven of the last nine renewals of this race and this lad could take his record to eight from the last ten.
He's finished third on all three of his starts over fences to date behind the likes of Lecky Watson and Quai De Bourbon to name just two. This intermediate trip suits him, and he jumps well. I think a mark of 141 underestimates him and I would be disappointed if he doesn't prove to be at least ten pounds better than this. He’s sure to go close.
This horse was a flat maiden winner before being snapped up by Gordon Elliott and the Moran's and while he made a big impression on hurdles debut, he really disappointed on his second start for the yard at Navan in January.
He left that well behind him last time when he ran a decent race behind Shuffle The Deck at Naas and I expect him to take a good step forward here. This race lacks plenty strength and depth, and he looks a solid one that will be really hard to knock out of the frame.
A bumper and maiden hurdle winner already this season, this son of Walk In The Park had been flying below the radar. This looks a strong race on paper, but I wouldn't be surprised if this lad can get himself involved the shake up at the business end of the race. He travelled through his race really well last time at Naas before scooting clear up the run in in the fashion of a smart horse.
He looks to be a horse with a touch of class, and I think there is plenty value in his price at double figures. He ranks as a strong each way bet to land himself in the frame and if things fall right, he could scoop the lot.
