Premier League Game Week 7 - Copybet
The big games just keep on coming in the Premier League and much of this weekend’s attention will focus on Stamford Bridge on Saturday night when Chelsea host champions Liverpool, who are looking to bounce back from successive defeats to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.
There are a host of other intriguing matches too with Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim desperate to see his team ease the building pressure by beating top-flight new boys Sunderland while Wolves will hope to secure their first win of the campaign by beating Brighton at Molineux.
Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur
Championship winners Leeds remain unbeaten at Elland Road since returning to the top flight and will be encouraged by home draws with Newcastle United and Bournemouth, but a visit from Tottenham could prove a tough assignment.
United were denied victory over the Cherries by a last-minute goal last Saturday, but Tottenham have looked stronger on the road than at home so far under Thomas Frank, benefitting from their opponents generally being more adventurous in such matches.
Spurs battled back well from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw at Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday and can claim a third away league success following their wins at Manchester City and West Ham United.
Man United vs Sunderland
Manchester United’s woes continued last week when they suffered a limp 3-1 defeat at Brentford and manager Ruben Amorim could be in big trouble if they do not beat Sunderland on Saturday.
However, the Black Cats have made a strong start having been relegation favourites at the start of the season, and they simply cannot be taken lightly by United, who needed a late penalty to get the better of another promoted side, Burnley, in a recent home match.
Sunderland have claimed a point at in-form Crystal Palace and won their last away game at Nottingham Forest, so getting something at Old Trafford looks within their capabilities.
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace continue to make strides under the wise guidance of Oliver Glasner and they should make their presence felt when they visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time.
Hosts Everton looked well in control against West Ham United before the Londoners fought back in the second half, but they were shaky after Jarrod Bowen’s equaliser.
The unbeaten Eagles have already won at the Hammers and Aston Villa, and confidence levels could hardly be higher after their 2-1 win over Liverpool last week followed by a comfortable 2-0 win at Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday.
Wolves vs Brighton
Wolves were denied their opening win of the season when Joao Palhinha scored a late equaliser for Tottenham last Saturday, but they could have their work cut out as they aim to break their duck against Brighton this weekend.
The Seagulls claimed an impressive 3-1 victory at Chelsea last week and with Wolves having already conceded 10 times in three home league games this term, there has to be a concern that they will spend another week at the bottom of the Premier League.
