NFL. Week Seven preview – Copybet
The NFL is really heating up and this week sees blockbuster games from both London and America.
The Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Los Angeles Rams from Wembley as the first game on an action-packed Sunday.
Los Angeles Rams vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Los Angeles Rams still have some special teams issues to resolve but they are laying down a real marker in the NFC with a 4-2 record, after limiting the Baltimore Ravens to just three points last time out.
Star receiver Puka Nacua may be out but they should still have enough to beat a Jacksonville Jaguars team who lost 20-12 to the Seattle Seahawks last week and have only managed eight quarterback sacks all season.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings
The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to bounce back after successive defeats, including to the New York Giants last time out. Their offense hasn’t got going under new coordinator Kevin Patullo and this could be another tough outing.
The Minnesota Vikings may have issues at quarterback but they have allowed only 97 points, the fifth-best total in the league, and this looks set to be another low-scoring matchup.
New York Giants vs Denver Broncos
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has injected life into this team and led them to back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Denver Broncos have won three in a row but they have come against teams suffering from issues and they were nearly beaten by the struggling New York Jets last time out.
The Giants have shown that they certainly have enough to keep this one close and they could even cause another upset.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Detroit Lions
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the stories of the NFL this season, with Baker Mayfield being serenaded with MVP chants after leading his team to a 5-1 record.
They face one of their toughest challenges yet against the Detroit Lions, particularly as the Bucs are suffering from a number of injuries at wide receiver.
However, Mayfield’s ability to get the job done under pressure - he leads the league with four fourth-quarter comebacks this season - make them worth chancing to beat the Lions.
Detroit lost 30-17 to the Kansas City Chiefs last time out and let ill-discipline get the better of them with a brawl after the game. The Bucs could shock them in this one.
