NFL Week Nine betting tips and predictions – Copybet

Week 9’s NFL slate is headlined by the latest instalment of the Mahomes vs Allen saga, while the galloping Colts aim to extend their dominance and the Cowboys look to bounce back under the Monday night spotlight.

With playoff races intensifying and several divisional rivalries on show, here are our top betting picks for the weekend.

Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Sun 02 Nov, 18:00

Daniel Jones has transformed the Colts into the NFL’s top-ranked offence, averaging 33.8 points and 385.3 yards per game. His 71.2% completion rate and second-best QBR (79.3) show just how efficient the ex-New York Giant has been.

Pittsburgh are coming off a bruising defeat to the Green Bay Packers and will struggle to keep pace unless their defence drastically improves.

The Steelers allowed a season-high 360 passing yards, three touchdown strikes and a streak of 20 consecutive completions from Jordan Love in Sunday’s 35-25 loss at Acrisure Stadium.

Indianapolis have covered the spread in five of their last six games and should do so again against a Steelers side lacking consistency.

Denver Broncos vs Houston Texans

Sun 02 Nov, 18:00

The Broncos are riding a five-game winning streak into Texas to take on the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon.

Denver destroyed a dangerous Dallas team 44-24 at Mile High, but there were some lows too — including news of an injury to star cornerback Pat Surtain II.

He will miss this trip to NRG Stadium to face a resurgent Texans, who have won three of their last four games.

Houston’s defense is among the league’s best, ranking first in both points and yards allowed. They’ve forced seven turnovers in the past four games and now face a Broncos team with a negative turnover differential.

C.J. Stroud is coming off his first 300-yard game and wasn’t sacked once against San Francisco, a sign the Texans’ offensive line is finally clicking.

Denver’s defense is solid, but they’ve struggled against mobile quarterbacks and quick-passing schemes.

The potential return of Houston wideout Nico Collins from injury and the absence of Surtain could also tip the balance the Texans’ way.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills

Sun 02 Nov, 21:25

It’s a brave call to make the Chiefs favourites for this trip to Highmark Stadium, where the Bills have won 11 of their last 12 home games.

Quarterback rivals Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen have plenty of history and both are capable of leading their team to victory on any given day.

But while Mahomes has a perfect 4-0 postseason record in their previous tussles, Allen has engineered Bills wins in four of their five regular season clashes, including the one in Buffalo just under a year ago.

The Chiefs quarterback’s first pass of that game was intercepted as he quickly tried to get rid of the ball under pressure and the Bills will attempt to ruffle Mahomes’ feathers early and often again.

Buffalo addressed the main issues behind their two-game losing streak in last week’s 40-9 annihilation of the Panthers, committing zero turnovers and holding Carolina’s rushers in check.

It won’t be anywhere near as easy against the Chiefs, but Buffalo are good value to stay on track.

Arizona Cardinals vs Dallas Cowboys

Tue 04 Nov, 01:15

Dallas are licking their wounds after their heavy loss in Denver, but Dak Prescott remains in MVP form, leading the league in QBR and touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Arizona’s defense ranks bottom-five in yards allowed and has conceded 30+ points in four of their last five games.

Expect the Cowboys to come out firing, while the Cardinals — led by Kyler Murray — can exploit Dallas’ secondary in garbage time.

This one has all the makings of a Monday night shootout.
