This horse was the winner of the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2024 and it's fair to say his chasing career hasn't gone to plan. I'd put that largely down to the ground which has been much quicker all season than you would expect in Ireland through the winter, and the ground here on Tuesday may well be as soft as he's encountered so far in his chasing career.

He was a winner of a point-to-point so in theory he should stay even, though he's yet to prove it inside the rails and we know he has a touch of class. There's plenty 14s about and I think he's tremendous value at that sort of a price. He comes here fresh which may well be an advantage against horses who have had a hard season, and he has only a length and a half to make up on with Lecky Watson from when they met at Naas, and he won a Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival. At the prices I'm happy to side with him as an each way bet.

In what looks a competitive bumper with loads lurking with chances, I'm happy to play this son of Bullet Train who was an eyecatcher on his racecourse debut when a good fourth at Clonmel in March when he was given a quiet ride.

He's sure to have come on massively for that first experience and he hails from a yard of a very shrewd Cork man in Sean Aherne. The jockey booking of Eoin O'Brien is a good one and with a run under his belt and now dropped into a bumper from hurdles, I think he's a very noteworthy runner who shouldn't be underestimated. He's a solid each way play at what's likely to be a big price.

This is a very decent race for the grade and I'm going right to the foot of the weights to find the selection lurking as he races from 1lb out of the handicap. This son of Hillstar has had a successful season so far for his small yard and when he won a couple of starts back over this course and distance, he looked like he should still have more to offer off of his mark.

He was disappointing at Leopardstown over Christmas, but I wouldn't be surprised if something was amiss that day and his 95-day absence thereafter would lead me to believe that's a distinct possibility. He was making a more than adequate return from his break when tipping up at the last in Naas last time in a novice hurdle and back here in a handicap and back to full fitness he's another for me at a price that could make his presence felt here and is another each way play on the day.
