This mare comes here in the form of her life having been 2nd over a trip too far in the King George at Ascot last time but before that she came from the clouds to mow down Emily Upjohn at the Curragh in the Pretty Polly. She was ultra impressive over an extended 10F trip here back in May when sporting first time cheekpieces which connections had omitted for her Curragh win.
With the cheekpieces back on at her ideal track with perfect ground conditions, and over what I believe to be her optimum conditions, she's a must bet for me at an eachway price. I firmly believe she has all the ability to win a race like this. Place only, you can have the house on her.
This horse was a very impressive winner of a handicap here in May before coming fast and late at Ascot from an impossible position at the Royal meeting behind Jayarebe, who was 2nd just last week behind Economics in a Deauville Group 2.
That form is strong, as is the form of his 2nd behind Alflaila here last time who runs in the Juddemont International on this card. The step up to a mile and a half looks right up his street and a small field at this track should really suit his run style. I'd be confident of a career best here and hopefully that will be good enough to land the spoils.
A very decent handicapper over hurdles he's taken his form to new levels on the flat. He was a winner of a Down Royal Maiden in May before being a good 2nd to Eagles Way at Bellewstown on his penultimate start, who went on to win a valuable Galway Festival handicap since, and he himself went to Killarney in the interim where he bolted up off a mark of 89 by no less than 17 lengths.
Now that probably wasn't the most competitive race in the world but it's the style and ease of that success that makes him look capable of taking this off his revised mark. I'm confident he will be on the premises at the business end.
