Goodwood Festival Tuesday Tips – Irish NH Tips
Goodwood – SCANDINAVIA
This horse is rapidly on the upgrade having failed to win a maiden in three attempts as a two-year-old and he has been making up for lost time this season. He was a winner of a maiden on seasonal debut at Navan before running a stormer in a Group 2 at Royal Ascot. He dropped back into a Group 3 at Newmarket last time over a mile and five in really impressive fashion.
He may be taking a step up into Group 1 company here for the first time, but he is aided by the fact he will be getting 14lbs from all his rivals over a trip that should hopefully bring out improvement in him. Conditions should suit fine and may suit him better than his more fancied stablemate Illinois and I'm more than willing to side with him at the prices.

DASH OF AZURE
This horse has been the model of consistency so far in her career. She was second on all three starts as a two-year-old before finally breaking her maiden at Kempton in May. She was a well-supported favourite last time when running in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot where she ran a fine race in defeat only going down by just over three lengths on that occasion.
She is back in a less competitive race here and off just 1lb higher than that Ascot run she should be very difficult to beat.

LAKE FOREST
This horse has only won once since August 2023, but he has run many good races in defeat since then. He ran a stormer at Royal Ascot at Group 1 level in the Queen Anne Stakes where he finished fifth and I would be willing to draw a line through the York disappointment last time. That came quick enough after what was a career best effort at Ascot and for me, he can be forgiven for not being at his best there.
This quick seven furlongs should suit him well and if he bounces back to form, he's a real threat in here.
