To Win to Nil – Sheffield United

Tip 1: Sheffield United were by far the third-best team in the Championship and they were unfortunate to have top-two sides Burnley and Leeds for company in the second tier.

The Blades matched the leading pair for most of the campaign and only missed out on automatic promotion in the closing weeks of the season.

But they have earned themselves a second chance, and they should make the most of their opportunity at Wembley this weekend, where they are fancied to secure their Premier League return with a degree of comfort.

There has been a ruthlessness to Chris Wilder's men who saw off Bristol City 6-0 on aggregate in the play-off semi-finals, and the pair of 3-0 wins should stand them in good stead for this clash against the Black Cats, who stumbled somewhat in the closing stages of the campaign.

Sunderland closed the regular season with five straight losses and edged past Coventry with a 3-2 aggregate victory, achieved only thanks to Dan Ballard's 120th-minute winner at the Stadium of Light as the contest looked set to go to penalties.

The Blades look much sharper, and a win to nil looks well within their capabilities on Saturday.

Correct Score – 2-0

Tip 2: Sheffield United can claim a comfortable victory and a 2-0 scoreline looks a solid correct-score option for this Wembley clash.

The opening stages are likely to be tight, but if United get their noses in front, another goal could soon follow as Sunderland look to get back on terms.

If a 2-0 scoreline does open up, then the Blades are likely to lock the door as they look to protect their advantage, and goals have been easy for them to come by, too.

The Blades have scored at least two goals in four of their last six matches and they shut out Bristol City in their two-legged semi-final with some comfort.

In contrast, Sunderland have failed to score in five of their last eight matches, so it would be no surprise to see them come up short in this crucial contest.

Anytime Goalscorer –
Callum O’Hare
BET NOW

Tip 3: Callum O'Hare came off the bench in both semi-final matches with Bristol City and scored in each contest, and he looks a great value bet to make his mark once more on the big stage at Wembley.

The midfielder has scored just four times this term, but he has two goals in his last two matches, and even if he does start on the bench this week, he could make the most of tired legs in the Sunderland ranks if he is introduced to the action by Wilder late on.

The Black Cats had to endure a gruelling 120 minutes of action last time out against Coventry, and even though they have had time to regroup, the energy-sapping encounter could still take its toll if they are chasing the game at Wembley this week.
