Champions League Game Week 2 – Copybet
Fans are looking forward to Game Week 2 in the Champions League league phase this week, with 14 teams looking to make it two wins from two matches.
Tuesday’s highlight is Benfica’s clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as former Blues manager Jose Mourinho visits his old stomping ground, while Newcastle United and Manchester City face tricky away ties on Wednesday.
Chelsea vs Benfica
Injuries to key players have started to give Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca a few selection headaches and his side look vulnerable ahead of a clash with Benfica at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have only won one of their last five games in all competitions and they will need to try and get the better of former manager Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho returned to Benfica earlier this month and his side have scored six goals in three games since he stepped into the dugout.
Chelsea are without playmaker Cole Palmer and have several first-team defenders on the sidelines and Benfica should be able to take advantage.
FK Bodo/Glimt vs Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham got the better of FK Bodo/Glimt across two legs to reach the Europa League final last season and they should be able to repeat that success when they travel to Norway on Tuesday.
Thomas Frank's side are unbeaten in five games in all competitions, while they have only lost once in the Premier League all season.
Spurs are much tougher to break down than they were under Ange Postecoglou and they should have too much class for their hosts.
Bodo/Glimt have only lost one of their last 16 games in all competitions and will not go down without a fight, but they rarely play a team of Spurs' quality.
Royale Union Saint-Gilloise vs Newcastle United
After a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in their first match in the League Phase, Newcastle will be eager to bounce back when they travel to Belgium to take on Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
The Magpies were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal last weekend, while their hosts have won five in a row and are unbeaten in 10 matches.
Newcastle have looked good on the front foot and should come out on top, but the safe play should be to back a high-scoring game.
Union SG's form is hard to ignore and they should find the net, especially with Newcastle losing Tino Livramento to injury and Fabian Schar a doubt with a facial injury.
Monaco vs Manchester City
Manchester City will expect to extend their unbeaten run to six matches when they face Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola's side enjoyed a resounding 5-1 win over Burnley last weekend, while Monaco fell to their second defeat in three outings, having gone down 3-1 to Lorient.
Monaco have won all three of their Ligue 1 games at home, though, scoring three in each of those ties.
They now face a City side that has only kept two clean sheets in the Premier League, but with the likes of Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva and Tijjani Reijnders set to start, the visitors should be able to overpower them over the 90 minutes.
