Having edged into a one-point lead in the Drivers’ Championship, Lando Norris will be determined to keep his foot on the gas in Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.

Norris heads to Sao Paulo on the back of an impressive victory at the Mexican Grand Prix to stall Max Verstappen’s march towards the world title.

Putting in the hard work to claw back a 35-point lead for McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, Norris won’t want to give up that top spot in the Drivers’ Championship and the Brit will be going all out to finish top of the podium on Sunday.

Buoyed by that victory in Mexico City last month, Norris will be heading to Sao Paolo confident he can overcome the likes of Verstappen and Piastri for the chequered flag.

This title race, unlike previous one-sided seasons, has ebbed and flowed and it looks like Norris is a driver striking at the right time with four meetings of the 2025 Formula 1 campaign remaining.

With Verstappen winning the last two editions of the Brazilian Grand Prix, Norris will have his work cut out for him to beat the four-time world champion at Interlagos.

However, he was so dominant at the Mexican Grand Prix, it bodes well for what he will be able to achieve in Brazil this week.

What also lends further credence to Norris being successful on Sunday is that he earned pole position at the Brazilian Grand Prix last season, and he can finally secure his first race win at Interlagos this time around.

After a somewhat disappointing seventh-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix last time out, George Russell is good value to get back on the podium at the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Mercedes ace finds himself in fourth place in the Drivers’ Championship after what has been a largely consistent season so far. Russell has finished on the podium eight times this season and he can add to that tally of top-three finishes this weekend.

The Silver Arrows star will have fond memories of Interlagos following his win at the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix and Russell is backed to secure another podium finish on Sunday.
