BMW PGA CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTIONS – COPYBET
Sepp Straka is the only member of Luke Donald’s European Ryder Cup team who will not be at Wentworth this week for the BMW PGA Championship, one of the highlights of the DP World Tour calendar.
World number two Rory McIlroy is set to go off as favourite following a dramatic victory at the Irish Open, while LIV Golf champion Jon Rahm will also be in attendance, but there are a host of others who will fancy their chances of claiming the prestigious prize.

Alex Noren was unable to punch his ticket to Bethpage Black, but he is in just the sort of form to suggest he can triumph at Wentworth, where he was champion eight years ago.
He held off Francesco Molinari on that occasion having shot a closing 62 and while he would have been disappointed at missing the cut at his most recent tournament, the European Masters, his form before that setback was excellent.

Aaron Rai will be disappointed that he was unable to build on a strong 2024 in the last PGA Tour season, but that should not be enough to discount him from being a factor at Wentworth.
He took fifth place when defending his Wyndham Championship title last month and he tends to be a golfer who flourishes at certain courses, a scenario which applies this week.
The Wolverhampton swinger was tied for second alongside Tyrrell Hatton when Ryan Fox won two years ago and was fourth last year when he finished three shots off the pace, so he should relish a return to the Virginia Water track.

Rasmus Hojgaard is the only player who will head to the Ryder Cup who did not play in Italy two years ago - he effectively replaces his twin Nicolai - and he can boost his confidence further with a strong showing this week.
The Dane was second in his home tournament at Fureso Golf Klub and, after placing 13th at the British Masters, he claimed another runner-up spot at the European Masters last time out when he closed with a 62, so confidence should not be an issue this week.
