Back both teams to score and Manchester City to win

Manchester City's defeat to Real Madrid on penalties in the Semi Finals of the Champions League is their only loss in their last 35 matches in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola's side are an almost unstoppable force right now and come into the FA Cup final having secured a record fourth consecutive Premier League title. Everything points to another City success but Manchester United will do everything they can to upset the odds.

Almost exactly a year ago, these two rivals went head to head in the 2022/23 FA Cup Final and City emerged as 2-1 victors. The blue half of Manchester have come out on top in six of their last seven meetings while Phil Foden and Erling Haaland have both scored home and away against the Red Devils this season.

United have been inconsistent at best during the 2023/24 campaign and much of their hopes will rest on the shoulders of captain Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese international found the net in last year's final and has seven in his last eight games for the club.

It might be closer than the odds suggest but it's hard to see anything other than another trophy winning performance from Manchester City.

Leeds United vs Southampton

Back Southampton to lift the trophy

At the start of the season, CopyBet had Leeds United as 15/8 second favourites for promotion and Southampton next in line at 5/2. Now, ahead of Sunday's final, Leeds are odds on at 8/11 to go up by any method and Saints are 21/20 outsiders.

But Russell Martin and his Southampton side will have plenty of backers especially when you take into account the results between these two sides in the regular season. When they met at St Mary's Stadium back in September of last year, two goals from Adam Armstrong and one from Will Smallbone saw Saints run out 3-1 winners.

The same two players were also on the scoresheet when they travelled to Elland Road last month for the reverse fixture, with Leeds once again on the wrong end of the scoreline, losing 2-1.

Leeds were superb in the second leg of their semi final against Norwich City when they ran out 4-0 winners. But their form in the weeks leading up to that game had been decidedly disappointing with just one victory in the seven games that preceded their rout of the Canaries.

Southampton can make it a hat-trick of victories against their Championship rivals this season and return to the promised land.
