World Cup Final Preview: Spain vs Argentina

After a truly dramatic tournament, the World Cup final has arrived, and two of the pre-tournament favourites have completed their journey to the MetLife Stadium. Spain will meet Argentina in a World Cup final for the first time, with Spain going for their second World Cup and reigning champions Argentina hoping to secure their fourth. It’s all to play for in New Jersey on Sunday evening.

Spain vs Argentina

Luis de la Fuente’s Spain side have made their way to the final with a consistent air of composure and know-how. The Euro 2024 champions managed to nullify what had previously been an electric France attack in the semi-finals and will look to do the same on Sunday evening. Spain are 12/5 with CopyBet to win to nil in New Jersey.

Spain though may well need more than one goal to win the game in 90 minutes and Mikel Oyarzabal, who before the tournament may have been fairly unknown to some, is Spain’s top goalscorer this summer with five. The Real Sociedad striker is 6/4 to score anytime, while Lamine Yamal is 5/2 to do so.

For Argentina, as ever, their first port of call for inspiration will be Lionel Messi, who was instrumental in Argentina’s dramatic fightback versus England in the semi-finals. Messi, who is going for his first World Cup Golden Boot ever is 29/20 to score anytime and 15/2 to score and assist.

Meanwhile, Enzo Fernandez, who equalised from long range versus England and scored the injury-time winner versus Egypt in the last 16, is 13/2 to score anytime.
