Premier League Darts Week Eight darts betting tips and predictions – Copybet

Week Eight of the Premier League takes the PDC’s eight big-hitters on a trip to Berlin.

Jonny Clayton still leads the way at the top of the table, but Luke Littler is in hot pursuit and there is plenty on the line in Germany.

PDC Premier League Outright

Before attacking Week Eight of the Premier League, punters should consider a more long-term play.

Luke Humphries is 9/5 to reach the final of the Premier League at London’s O2 Arena in May and that offer looks to seriously underrate Cool Hand.

The former world champion only needs to bag a top-four spot in the regular season to book his place at Finals Night and he currently sits in fourth place in the standings.

Only Luke Littler is putting up a higher overall average than Humphries’ 100.82 in this season’s competition, and if it wasn't for the Nuke, the Newbury man would have picked up plenty more titles this season.

Humphries did win the Belgian Darts Open at the weekend and his good form should continue in Berlin. Cool Hand can collect points in Week Eight and it’s all systems go for the defending Premier League champion.

Jonny Clayton vs Josh Rock

Moving on to this week’s action and Jonny Clayton was the arrowsmith beaten by Humphries in last weekend’s European Tour final.

The Ferret has been in excellent form for the last 18 months and is sitting pretty on 19 points at the top of the Premier League table.

The Llanelli man clearly loves this competition, having lifted the title in 2021, and is once again contending for major honours.

The Welshman downed Josh Rock 6-2 on the opening night of Premier League action in Newcastle and that was a sign of things to come from Rocky.

The Northern Irishman is still searching for his first victory, after seven straight quarter-final defeats and he was crushed 6-0 by Gerwyn Price in Dublin last Thursday.

That worrying defeat saw Rock average only 84.21 and he appears to have lost all confidence in this event.

Clayton rates a bet to give Rocky a 1.5-leg start and a beating in Berlin.

Gerwyn Price vs Gian van Veen

Gian van Veen was hospitalised with kidney stones last week and that saw him withdraw from last Thursday's Premier League action in Dublin, as well as the weekend’s European Tour event in Belgium.

The Giant makes his return to action in Germany on Thursday, but there are clear concerns over his fitness.

Either way, a contest against Gerwyn Price is no easy task, particularly after the Iceman made it all the way to the final in Ireland last week.

The Markham man boasted an incredible 109.04 average when beating Luke Humphries 6-1 in the Dublin semi-finals and that is the peak level the former world champion has in the tank.

With concerns over Van Veen’s well-being, Price has to be the bet in this spot.
