NFL Week 15 betting tips and predictions – Copybet
Week 15 in the NFL kicks off with a crunch clash of the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football.
Sunday’s slate features a battle for AFC East supremacy as the Buffalo Bills visit the New England Patriots, plus a potentially high-scoring NFC shootout between the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams.
Two of the hottest teams in the league then collide out west as the Green Bay Packers meet the Denver Broncos.
Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers (7-6) have dropped four of their last five but remain tied atop the NFC South amid quarterback Baker Mayfield’s struggles. The former Cleveland Browns star threw for just 122 yards in last week’s 24-20 loss to New Orleans.
Atlanta (4-9) are now officially out of playoff contention and attention has turned to the future of head coach Raheem Morris, who has led them to just 12 wins in the last 30 games. But Falcons RB Bijan Robinson continues to shine, averaging 20 carries and over 100 rushing yards across his last four games.
Injuries to WR Drake London and TE Kyle Pitts limit their passing options, forcing a run-heavy approach.
Tampa Bay’s defence ranks top-10 against the run but should be able to contain a limited Atlanta’s offence that has averaged under 17 points per game since Kirk Cousins replaced the injured Michael Penix Jr.
With home advantage and divisional urgency, the Bucs are tipped to cover.
Buffalo Bills vs New England Patriots
The Patriots (11-2) lead the AFC East and have already beaten Buffalo once this season. Their offence ranks eighth in total yards and seventh in points per game, while the defence sits comfortably inside the top 10.
Buffalo (9-4) remain dangerous with Josh Allen under centre, but they have lost 19 of their last 24 road games in Foxborough.
Allen was responsible for four touchdowns in Sunday’s 39-34 win over Cincinnati, including a 40-yard TD run in the fourth quarter when the Bengals had control of the game. His play has masked some of the defensive deficiencies that have dogged the Bills.
Given New England’s home form and Buffalo’s previous Foxborough failings, the Patriots look strong value to cover again.
Detroit Lions vs
Los Angeles Rams
Two of the four most potent teams in the league take to the field at SoFi Stadium on Sunday and points are expected to proliferate again. The Total in a Lions match is set at 55 for the second week in a row and it proved fairly conservative as Detroit moved to 8-5 with a 44-30 win over the Dallas Cowboys last Thursday.
Jared Goff faces his former team, while Matthew Stafford continues to pile up big plays for the 10-3 Rams.
David Montgomery outshone Jahmyr Gibbs in the Lions backfield last week while Amon-Ra St. Brown has serious competition from Jameson Williams as Goff’s favourite receiving target.
The Rams’ pace forces opponents to keep up, and their defence has shown cracks against deep passing routes.
With both teams capable of scoring quickly, the over looks the best angle in what should be a shootout.
Green Bay Packers vs Denver Broncos
The Packers (9-3-1) top the NFC North and have WR Jayden Reed back to boost a balanced attack that is bringing the best out of Jordan Love. Their defence excels against teams that struggle to run the ball, which suits them against Denver.
The Broncos (11-2) have been unbeatable at home all year, but have lost a lot of impact in their rushing game since J.K. Dobbins went down with an injury. Second-string RB RJ Harvey is getting less than half of Dobbins’ yards before contact and around a third of his yards after contact. Their defence has also shown vulnerabilities in man coverage.
Green Bay’s balance and defensive edge make them a solid choice to clinch their fifth road win in a row.
