Scotland can set up a huge 2026 World Cup qualifying clash with Denmark at Hampden Park on Tuesday night, if the Tartan Army can win in Greece on Saturday night.

Clarke’s side are level with the Danes on 10 points in Group C, but Denmark should have no issues taking three points in Belarus in their penultimate pool clash.

Greece were expected to be challenging Scotland and Denmark, but the Pirate Ship have lost their last three qualifiers and are already eliminated.

Ivan Jovanovic's troops have conceded 10 goals in qualifying and scored only two in their previous three matches, with that poor run including a 3-1 loss to Scotland in Glasgow.

The Tartan Army have won seven of their last 10 games and their strong squad, which includes the likes of Andy Robertson, Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney and John McGinn, can help them pick up the win.

Billy Gilmour, Lewis Ferguson, Ryan Christie and Kenny McLean are all strong options to play the anchor in Scotland’s midfield and this should allow McTominay to get further up the pitch.

The Napoli man has scored four goals in his last seven appearances for club and country and he could have a big impact in Greece.

McTominay will pose a threat from open play, but he could also be on free-kick taking duty and the former Manchester United man carries aerial potential at corners.
