Champions League Game Week 7 – Copybet
The penultimate round of Champions League league phase fixtures takes place this week and there are some key games across Europe on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Arsenal head to Inter for a glamour tie on Tuesday night, while Tottenham manager Thomas Frank will be desperate for a result against Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool head to Marseille on Wednesday, and on the same evening, Chelsea and Newcastle will be targeting three points in home ties against Pafos and PSV.
Copenhagen vs Napoli
Copenhagen and Napoli will be striving for a much-needed three points in their bid to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Champions League and the visitors don't look anything like the good things the market indicates on Tuesday night.
The Blues have won only one of their last four Serie A matches, a run that includes disappointing draws against Parma and Verona.
Antonio Conte's men have been beaten 2-0 at Benfica, 6-2 at PSV and 2-0 on their trip to Manchester City in Europe this season and a 0-0 home draw with Eintracht Frankfurt was another unconvincing effort.
Copenhagen have recorded back-to-back Champions League victories over Kairat and Villarreal, scoring six goals in the process, and the Danes are a dangerous attacking unit.
Chelsea vs Pafos
Chelsea rate a woeful price at home to Pafos on Wednesday night and bets siding with the Cypriot club are worth exploring.
The Blues beat west London rivals Brentford 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last weekend, but Liam Rosenior's men were second best on pretty much every metric in that Premier League contest and they can only be described as extremely fortunate to have taken all three points.
Chelsea were previously dominated by Arsenal on home turf in a 3-2 League Cup semi-final tie and the numbers from that game are alarming.
Liam Rosenior's outfit lost the shot count 17-10 and conceded an expected goals total of 2.84 to the Gunners, and this looks anything but a Champions League-winning side.
Of course, Pafos are below Arsenal's level, and perhaps even Brentford, but Wednesday's visitors have only lost two of their league phase games and their performances have been pretty decent.
Take the Cypriots getting a 2.5-goal start on the handicap at Stamford Bridge.
Newcastle vs PSV
Newcastle are another Premier League team who look vulnerable on Wednesday night.
The Magpies were poor in a 0-0 draw with bottom club Wolves at the weekend and manager Eddie Howe is struggling to find the right balance.
Injuries have contributed to Yoane Wissa only scoring one league goal all season, while fellow forward Nick Woltemade has just two strikes in his last 13 appearances for the Magpies and equally expensive additions Jacob Ramsey and Anthony Elanga have failed to make an impact.
Goalscoring is not a problem for PSV, who have hit the net 34 times in their last 11 matches and have struck 12 goals in three European games against Liverpool, Napoli and Atletico Madrid this term.
That's pretty intimidating form and Peter Bosz's side can leave St James' Park with three points.
