Autumn Internationals. Week Four – Copybet
The fourth weekend of Autumn Internationals provides a titanic head-to-head between two of the best teams in the business and other games that are likely to be more one-sided.
Ireland and South Africa face off in a heavyweight showdown on Saturday in Dublin, the same day as Wales host New Zealand and Australia make the trip to Paris to face France.
Ireland vs South Africa
Starting with the pick of Saturday’s fixtures, Andy Farrell’s Ireland get a chance to test themselves against the world champions, as the Springboks head to the Aviva Stadium.
Ireland disappointed in their 26-13 defeat to New Zealand in their opening game of the Autumn Nations Series but responded well with a 41-10 win over Japan and a 46-19 hammering of Australia.
Scoring 87 points across their last two games, Ireland’s attack has been clicking and they will need that clinical edge if they are to stand a chance of causing an upset against the ruthless Springboks.
South Africa also head into this Test match in Dublin in free-scoring form, having beaten France 32-17 at the Stade de France and Italy 32-14 at Allianz Stadium last weekend.
Two world-class teams, brimming with pace and power and led by two of the best coaches in the business, going for the over 48.5 total points appeals in this one.
Wales vs New Zealand
Having only just scraped past Japan 24-23 last weekend thanks to last-gasp penalty, Wales face a mighty challenge when New Zealand head to the Principality Stadium.
The Welsh were somewhat fortunate to overcome the Brave Blossoms, while they could be on the end of a backlash, after the All Blacks suffered a 33-19 defeat at the hands of England last weekend.
New Zealand have made a habit of making bright starts, as they did against Scotland and England, before being pegged back.
However, if the Kiwis have learned their lesson, they might well take an early lead and keep their foot on the gas in Cardiff to win comfortably, against a Wales side that still have plenty of work to do on their defence if they are to be competitive in the upcoming 2026 Six Nations.
France vs Australia
It’s been a miserable November so far for Australia and things get even tougher with a trip to Saint-Denis for a Saturday night clash with reigning Six Nations champions France.
Losing to England, Italy and Ireland already this month, it’s hard to see the Wallabies keeping in touching distance of the French in this one.
France will look to build on their 34-21 win over Fiji last weekend and Les Bleus are backed to cover the handicap in this one.
